Registration for the 16th International Seagrass Biology Workshop (ISBW16) and the 2027 World Seagrass Conference (WSC2027) will open October 2026. 

All participants, including abstract presenters, must register online through this website. Please review the categories, inclusions, and travel guidance below.

Registration Categories and Fees

The following provisional categories and rates (with final fees and categories to be confirmed once registration opens) are provided for planning purposes:

School and University students may attend on a complimentary basis, subject to prior approval by the Organising Committee. Meals will be provided during their visit; transport and supervision must be arranged by the academic institution.

Invitation Letters

Once registration is complete, participants who require an official invitation letter for purposes of obtaining  a visa and/or a speaker permit may request one via email to isbw16@ead.gov.ae. Further details will be provided upon registration and/or notification of acceptance as a presenter.

Kindly note in the meantime:

  • English is the official language of the conference
  • Programme details may be subject to change
  • Registration is confirmed only upon full payment
  • All international bank transfer fees must be paid by the sender
  • Substitutions permitted until 19 February 2027
  • Cancellations before 19 February 2027: refund minus 20% admin fee
  • Cancellations after this date: non-refundable
  • Visa issues do not qualify for refund
